To help in scoping the size, depth and breadth of our enormous and very ambitious project to bring an end to homelessness in Ireland, we want to bring together a group of people who are interested or intrigued by the idea. So much has already been done and continues to be done to alleviate homelessness from national government initiatives to local volunteers.
We see very little being done to coordinate all these pockets of wonderful and committed work, and we imagine finding a way to align all of them would multiply their effectiveness. We have a tried and tested vision-building method where many people thinking and working together can create a jointly owned, detailed description of an ideal future situation as if it is already achieved.
The greater the variety of ideas, experience (practical and otherwise), authority, political, research and on-the-ground knowledge in the group of people, the richer and more complete will be the future we conjure up.
If you have strong views, a personal interest, actual experience, influence on any level, contacts or resources that could both short and/or long-term support what we are doing, we would love to have you there.
We are looking for people who care about this, who have ideas, are action takers, researchers and doers, critical thinkers and visionaries, activists and people who are capable of following through. Experts who know what we don’t – and anyone who has access and connection to any kind of resources that can make this real.
For some people, just being there on the day may be the total commitment they are able or want to give. We will welcome that. If you fit any of the above descriptions, we would really value your presence.
Could you or someone you know commit to that one day?
